ABOUT Kym Perfetto

Kym got her start in cycling as a NY bike messenger after being fired as a waitress. Her first bike race was an Alleycat through the Bronx that rewarded her messenger skills and which she only entered to win the new bag that she needed.

Soon thereafter Kym was recruited by Julie Rice to teach indoor cycling in the back lobby of a building on 72nd st. Thus she became a founding instructor SoulCycle, sparking a worldwide boutique fitness movement. Despite urgings from Julie to stay put and “just teach at Soul”, Kym continued to travel the world racing her bike and at the age of 34, became a full-time sponsored cyclist and elite racer.

Somewhere in between, she toured with her electro pop duo “No Way Josie”, created the Youtube channel “KymNonstop” and launched the world’s first mobile boutique fitness studio, Dryft.

Kym lives in LA with her three cats, eight bikes, and a scar on her knee that “looks like a mouth”.
