Helping When You Can:

Goodmorning.

It's over a week since the hurricane but, as you all can imagine, it takes months to rebuild lost homes and damaged neighborhoods.  And now New York is expecting another storm tomorrow.  While it may only be rain, it can devastate those in Staten Island, Breezy Point, the Rockaways, Long Beach and NJ who are living with few dry items of clothes and no heat.  No matter where you are, there are ways to lend a hand.  Take a moment to check out OccupySandy - in incredibly well-organized hub for volunteers.  You can find shared rides to volunteer and donation centers. For those who are not in the New York area (or have more $ than time :) there is a wedding registry via Amazon, so anyone who wants to send blankets, flashlights, dry goods, mini-fridges, batteries and toiletries can easily do so online.

Also on Sunday, Soulcycle will be hosting SOUL RELIEF RIDES in all NY studios with a goal to raise more than $150,000 for hurricane relief. I'll be volunteering in the daytime, then teaching the all-star ride at 6pm.  Join me?

Next Sunday (11/11), from noon to the end of the day, ALL PROCEEDS from NY, Scarsdale and Roslyn rides will be donated to directly to relief efforts in Rockaway Beach, Long Beach and Staten Island. That's right. To help communities in need, all you have to do is clip in and ride!
And for those of you who are able to go above and beyond, we'll be holding twoALL-STAR RIDES on Sunday evening in TriBeCa studios A and B at 6PM. An amazing team of Soul instructors will lead two extraordinary 60-minute rides with 100% of the proceeds going directly to relief efforts. All bikes are priced at $1,500 and you can sign-up for these SOUL-inspiring rides here. In addition, we'll be selling special edition Sandy Relief Tees in studios for $45. One hundred percent of the t-shirt profits will also be donated to relief efforts.
So join us on Sunday for what are sure to be some amazing rides. You won't just be changing your body, you'll be changing lives. If you can't make it in for a ride, you can always donate directly to Red Cross here.
