Although I won’t be heading out to Bonnaroo this year, I put together a list of some of my favorites from the festival for all of you that are.  I must say, this festival line up looks RAD. If you have the chance to make it down there this year, definately take it.

My **must sees** include:

Robert Delong: He is a one man everything. Drums, beats, vocals, electronic noises controlled by a wii remote…he is seriously talented.

Disclosure: With all the attention on Disclosure recently, I would not be shocked to see some guest appearances at their set.

Banks: This girl has been on the scene for the past year, and her live show keeps evolving. She writes incredible lyrics, and she’s only getting bigger.

Capital Cities: I saw these guys for the first time at a private CMJ showcase in the basement of Santos Party House. The sound is raw, and their beats are insanely danceable.

Die Antwoord:Watch this.  That’s all I have to say.

Haerts: Hailing from Brooklyn, this band is comprised of some seriously f**king talented friends of mine.

Disclaimer: I am a super fan of all of these artists, but my favorite part of festivals is stumbling on the acts that people AREN'T talking about.  My advice for festival newbies is to pick a few acts on the schedule for the day that you don't want to miss, and leave the rest of the time to explore over to the less well-known talent that will most likely be booming in the next few months.  And then you can go brag to your friends that you knew them first.
